Sarah's interest in skin care began as a young adult as a model for skin care companies. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in business and earned a teaching certificate, but always wanted to return to the world of skin care. Sarah participated in an informal apprenticeship with a dermatologist in Trieste, Italy, which further piqued her interest in the discipline.
Sarah returned to the US and attended esthetician school in Denver, Colorado. She then opened a very successful practice in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. Following her husband's military assignment to Leavenworth, Sarah moved her business to Kansas. She currently offers professional paramedical esthetician services by appointment only at the Historic Atwood House in Leavenworth. Since 2008, she has built an amazing following. Sarah the Skin Care Specialist was awarded "Best in Leavenworth" by the US Commerce Association in 2011, 2012, and 2013. She is in an exclusive group of small businesses to receive the award three years in a row.
In addition to her formal schooling, Sarah has completed multiple continuing education courses in the latest skin care products and techniques. She is actively licensed in the States of Colorado, Minnesota, and Kansas.
Sarah cares deeply about her clients, and strives to help them achieve their goals and improve the health of their skin.
